    Summary

    This program awards organisations with computer grants which deliver necessary and valuable services to underserved communities such as technology training, health care, education, and job training, but require upgraded computers to better manage their organization and improve their capacity to deliver those valuable services.


    InterConnection awards laptops and desktops pre-installed with Windows 10 and will have the following minimum specifications: Core i5 processor / 4 GB RAM / 250 GB HDD, based on availability. Up to 5 computers can be requested in total. Grant recipients are responsible for the shipping & handling costs.

  • Eligibility Details

    501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations are eligible for discounted products and cloud offers from Microsoft. The applicant organization must be willing and able to cover shipping, packaging & handling fees associated with the donated computers.


    Ineligible organizations include the following:

    • Governmental organizations or agencies.
    • Educational institutions, including K-12 schools, colleges, universities, and trade schools.
    • Public Libraries.
    • Healthcare organizations, including hospitals, healthcare networks, health plans, ambulatory healthcare services, home healthcare and assisted living healthcare organizations, health research organizations, and laboratories. Exceptions include independent nonprofit organizations with the following missions: community, behavioral and women's health clinics; hospices; emergency services; and blood, tissue and organ banks.
    • Professional, commerce, and trade associations.
    • Professional and semiprofessional sports organizations.
    • Political, labor, and fraternal organizations.

    InterConnection does not fund religious or faith-based organizations who require populations served to participate in any religion in order to receive services from the organization.

    Deadline Details

    Applications are accepted year round:

    • Round 1 - March 1st through March 31st. Award statuses will be announced by May 31st.
    • Round 2 - July 1st through July 31st. Award statuses will be announced by September 30th.
    • Round 3 - November 1st through November 30st. Award statuses will be announced by January 31st.

    InterConnection awards up to 5 laptops and desktops pre-installed with Windows 10, based on their eligibility and evaluation criteria.
