    Summary

    The goal of JRI funds for County Adult Probation and Parole System Improvements is for county probation improvement, to include the reduction of offenders on probation who violate the terms of their supervision. Additionally, it is the goal of this solicitation to support the procurement of necessary tools and/or resources that are aligned with the goals of the EBP Strategic plan.


    The Goals of the EBP Strategic Plan are:

    • Establish the routine and effective use of actuarial assessments for purposes of pretrial and post-conviction placement and supervision, and programming
    • Develop an EBP Implementation Plan
    • Establish, with AOPC, CCAP, PCCD, DOC, and PBPP, a policy and organizational infrastructure and technical assistance resources to support the successful implementation of EBP at the local and state levels
    • Develop a funding plan to support and encourage the development, implementation, and ongoing confidence in the efficacy of evidence-based practices
    • Develop a plan to ensure victims of crime are empowered, informed, notified, and made whole to the degree possible
    • Develop a comprehensive and diverse communication strategy

    Eligible program activities are as follows:

    • Hardware and software procurements that improve county probation services;
    • Selection of third or fourth-generation risk/needs assessment tools;
    • Development of an EBP implementation plan;
    • Development of a plan to ensure victims of crime are empowered, informed, notified, and made whole to the degree possible;
    • Development of a comprehensive and diverse communication strategy; and
    • Other initiatives aligned with the EBP Strategic Plan or in support of county adult probation and parole improvements.
