    Summary

    This program seeks to continue the early detection and rapid response of noxious and invasive plants on public and private lands. Through this approach the plant populations can be inventoried, treated and monitored.

    A cooperative weed management area (CWMA) is a partnership of federal, state and local government agencies, tribes, individuals and various interested groups to manage noxious weeds or invasive plants in a defined area. Public education is also a key function of this successful partnership.

    The estimated funding available for FY14 is $500,000. 1 award is anticipated. A project period of 5 years is expected. Cost sharing/matching is not required.
